I decided to try this again using the prompt I made for the Flux 2 version of this. This is closer to my original intent when I made the first DALL-E 3 version. But it still isn't quite what I thought it would be. I don't know why that is, but maybe somebody will like it. I probably won't make any more of these; I've devoted an extraordinary amount of effort and credits to this concept as it is, including pro models. Experimenting with Flux 2 is my next goal, but I'll have to wait for some more pro freebies. I'll still make more DALL-E 3 dragons, but they'll be different from this.

I love it! Sometimes DALL-3 is a little too dreamlike for me. 🤨

It varies a lot with DALL-E. Sometimes you get high levels of realism and sometimes it comes out like a 70s psychedelic album cover.

Which, at 8 credits a pop, is too risky. 😖

I got a free pro model use, so I decided to test Flux's new and improved dragon capabilities. This is pretty good from a purely artistic standpoint, but it doesn't have the surrealism of the DALL-E 3 version. I also modified the prompt slightly to try to more closely reflect the DreamShaper XL Lightning version from way back when.

Yeah, I like this a lot too. Very moody. HiDream seems to yield some pretty good charactres.

It never gives me quite the facial features I'm looking for. 😕

I decided to do this idea over. I've been experimenting with HiDream lately and chose to use it here.

This vampire's jacket is made of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene and also has pockets that act as plate carriers. Bullets aren't effective at killing vampires, but they're capable of incapacitating a vampire long enough to bring out a good old-fashioned stake. Most modern vampire hunters carry guns for this purpose, and for general self-defense. As a result of this, forward-thinking vampires have adopted advanced armor to stay in the game, and often carry guns themselves.

One year ago today, on Oct. 8, 2024, I made my first daily 5% picture, the Luminous Dragon. Oct. 8 is the peak of the Draconid meteor shower, so I've decided that every year on this day, I'm going to create a dragon using a pro model. I wanted to try a dragon like this for a while, but I wasn't sure how it would turn out.

A really nice addition to the series. I'm surprised about Seedream's lack of success. 

Yeah, I was too, but it does some other things very well. I think this version is the one I'll end up trying in some challenges.

This is the latest entry in my bioluminescent dragon project. I tried using Seedream 4.0, which has proven to be adept at the mecha that I usually make, but I think it didn't do as good of a job on this as plain old Ideogram 2a Turbo. I had to make a lot of evolutions of this to get the back to line up properly, but that's just the way things go sometimes.

The Kaiserdrach heavy assault biomech is a battlefield tour de force. It can be used in 3 modes, biped, quadruped or flight, enabling it to dominate on planets or in space. It sports solar sail wings and thermoptic camouflage, its mouth fires scorching plasma breath, and it holds up to 50 missiles on its wings and spine and 3 20mm autocannon turrets on its shoulders and chest. Its claws are also quite capable in melee.

The Kaiserdrach's strongest ability is that it can carry a hypersonic IRBM or bomb of up to 25,000 lbs in its claws during flight, meaning it can perform strategic nuclear strikes. Only officers ranked colonel or above are cleared to pilot a Kaiserdrach because of its extreme power. Access to the Kaiserdrach is restricted by several security checkpoints including keycards, biometric scanning and dynamic passwords to protect against the attempted theft of this superweapon.

I hate the non-pro restrictions, because they make it so much harder to compete with those on the elite level. 😮‍💨

Let me just say that whoa, DALL-E 3 is expensive when you're not using a free pro credit. And I'm not even convinced that it's better for this than plain old Ideogram 2a Turbo. I'd rather use DALL-E with Bing and upload it than use my credits this fast.

Fire Red

I waited a long time to do this. This isn't exactly what I was going for, but it's amazing in a way I didn't anticipate. It has a more dreamlike feel than any previous version; free models' limitations meant they couldn't fully capture this.

The background reminds me of Crystal Man's stage in Mega Man 5, but redder, and also Diablo 2's Worldstone Chamber.

EDIT: Daily 5%? Whoa. Seriously wasn't expecting that. I thought I'd get 20% at best.

EDIT 2: And I got Super Winner for another red dragon picture shortly after. Somebody cosmic might be trying to tell me something.

Your mileage may vary on whether this retouch is actually an improvement over the original. The original had 6 legs, whereas this version has 5, because 4 legs is boring.
