The Saga of Lysiriel on the Bifröst

After her soul was bound to the Mana-Node of Life and Law, Lysiriel walked the burning bridge of Bifröst. Her steps fell upon living fire and flowing ice, and the bridge sang beneath her feet, chords of color beyond mortal sight.

Mist rose from the Nine Worlds below, where mountains, forests, and shadows wove in endless depths. The wind struck her face, carrying the cries of unseen griffons and the breath of gods.

She looked behind once, to the forest where love and grief had bound her fate. Then forward — where the gates of Asgard blazed, taller than any hall, brighter than any sun.

Heimdallr, the Watcher, stood waiting, his eyes piercing, his ears hearing the runes in her breath. He saw not her wounds, but her offering. He weighed her sorrow, and the sacrifice that had become law.
