Since I was 12  my mother charged me with taking care of my sister and her soul. She was only 5 years younger than me but it was my job. 

I did the best I could. By the time she was 13 it was impossible to stop her. I felt like a failure because she did many things that might hurt her or hurt her soul in the eyes of God. My hair turned bright white that year. 

Still, I do my best to this day. Some days are better than others. 

Maybe someday I'll get to have my own life.
