They stepped quietly through the tunnel, swiftly making their way past rows and rows of cold stone. After a while, Grant noticed a peculiar smell. He turned to Ariadne and asked, "Did you fart?" She raised an eyebrow at him and smirked. "No." Grant began walking quickly. "Then what's that awful smell?" "I don't know what-" Then suddenly Ariadne smelled it too. A sickly odor that made her stomach turn slightly. She hurried after Grant, adrenaline surging. "Grant, I know that smell. That's the death stink." As soon as the words were out of her mouth, the far rays of Grant's flashlight dimly illuminated two figures slouched against the side of the tunnel up ahead. Both Grant and Ariadne were running now. As they got closer, the light showed Joshua sitting against the wall with another younger man, dead, next to him. Grant knelt next to Joshua, whose eyes were closed. Grant could see a slow rise and fall of his chest. He also saw a bloody wound on his side.
