One of the older traditions concerning fairies associated them with the dead. Whether good or evil, such fairies were considered dangerous.
The story goes that when a metallic meteoroid set a peatbog ablaze, the wounded earth spat forth a curse. Well, when a wee bairn is weaned on such tales, it messes with her id.
Some traditions claim that iron is anathema to fairies. That, too, messes with a wee bairn's id. Now a fine lass of elements twain, Mary Blood O'Fey has a choice:
Remain the villain she was raised to be or become the heroine she herself needs!
