I still have to finish decorating!  Turns out my mom is still in the hospital!  They sure didn’t keep me in there so long for gallbladder surgery!!  Something to do with iron and potassium levels not being right. Plus my friend’s boyfriend/male friend died!  Quite a worrisome season so far! So sorry to hear about your Mom-hopefully she will be out of the hospital soon. And so sad for your friend.  That is a lot to deal with anytime and it can be so much worse at Christmas. I don't do much decorating-no kids close so I don't have to worry about that.  I think that is why I do so much Christmas here.  I can enjoy it and there is nothing to clean up when Christmas is over.
