'OK AI' by Radiohead was my idea for Nighcafe's 'imaginary album cover' challenge. The basic idea was to create an imaginary follow-up to 1997's classic 'OK Computer' album, taking the original concept art and album name as a theme and applying it to an AI world. It took a while to develop the right image, paricularly to generate a pic that 1) used the right spelling and 2) captured the band's name in its iconic capital letter format. I ditched 'OK Artificial Intelligence' as it generated too many spelling errors. The shorter 'OK AI' was always going to be easier. Finally, I decided to add a lonesome cyborg to represent the 'Paranoid Android' of the original 1997 album. I thought it might be cool to land him in an alienating but intriguing AI environment, staring at the landscape and contemplating it.
