Fingernails extended into claws, fangs erupted from her gums, blood trickled from her eyes. The forest seemed to recoil around her, even the wind stilled as her metamorphosis continued. In these moments, Eliza was caught between worlds -woman and beast - her mind still her own while her body betrayed her with unnatural hunger.

Ah man, I was trying to do scenes with lycanthropy since almost immediately after I joined NC back in October 2023. My 2 attempts (one published shortly after I joined, the other was part of a Halloween themed challenge last year), were not at all what I was anticipating. Your series here is much more in line with what I was trying to convey. This'll inspire me to try and give it another shot! ;-)
