Esta especie de fungi colosal, ocupa un nicho en la Infraoscuridad similar al del Zurkhwood. El Vulbnesralen es bioluminiscente y sus esporas no solo sirven para alimento, también como fuente de luz y se puede fabricar con ellas lo que los gnomos grises denominan "luz líquida". Debido a la sobreexplotación y a las infecciones de isocas luminosas, estos hongos existen en pocos lugares, y muchos son cultivados, como en la ciudad Snalfavberner.

The Vulbnesralen is bioluminescent, and its spores serve not only as food, but also as a source of light, and can be used to make what the deep gnomes call "liquid light." Due to overharvesting and infections by glow-isochs, these fungi exist in few places, and many are cultivated, such as in the city of Snalfavberner.
