You spot a figure seated near the corner of the tavern, not quite in shadow—but not in the light, either.

He’s tall, lean, and dressed in travel-worn leathers that speak of long roads and colder nights. His cloak is a deep slate-gray, nondescript, but well-made—the kind worn by someone who wants to go unnoticed but is prepared if they’re not. A hood rests loosely around his shoulders, his copper-red hair tousled in a way that might be careless… or calculated.

He looks relaxed, at first glance. One leg slung over the other, elbow resting on the table, a half-empty tankard untouched at his side. But there’s a coin in his fingers, spinning and flipping, spinning and flipping—constant motion in a man who seems otherwise still.

He has a full, neatly kept red beard and steel-blue eyes that glance over the room in brief, passing flickers—never staying too long on one face. Just long enough.
