Ingredients:

• 65g sugar
• 1 lemon
• 200g apples (about 1/5 kg), sliced
• 1 packet vanilla
• 1 tbsp cinnamon
• 3 tsp water

Instructions:

Prepare Caramel:

• Heat sugar and water on medium heat until golden. Add a few drops of lemon juice, then continue heating until deep brown. Set aside.

Layer the Apples:

• Arrange apple slices in a round baking tray, sprinkling cinnamon and vanilla between layers.

Hot Bath Cooking:

• Place the tray in a hot water bath and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 40–60 minutes until the apples are tender and fragrant.

Final Baking:

• Keep the tray in the hot bath and bake for an additional 30–40 minutes at the same temperature.

Cooling and Refrigeration:

• Let it cool completely before removing it from the tray. Refrigerate for 2–3 hours before serving.
