Being a veteran myself, the topic of child soldiers is not something that I take lightly. Also, one person's "freedom fighter" can be another person's "traitor" -- or worse.

Oleander Leo was made for war. (Literally. She's an experimental prototype, amphibious super-soldier.) Unfortunately, she's good at warfare. Really good.

While Oleander Leo carries many more emotional scars than physical ones, she does not have PTSD per se. As Ramesh Craythur (another former child soldier at the academy) would put it: "That girl is more terrifyingly sane than I am."

[Ramesh is a "cheerful optimist"... Or not 😉]
