A mandate for all soul-marks to be registered had been passed through Congress with a unanimous vote on all sides. In theory, this would help others to better find their soulmates faster and much more easily than simply Googling them.

However, she knew that once she registered Bruce’s name into the system, that there is a good chance that Ross would be after her simply because she is Bruce’s soulmate. She is absolutely terrified of what would happen to Bruce if Ross had somehow gotten a hold of her and forced him to do unimaginable things for Ross just to keep her safe.

But she had no choice but to do it or risk going to prison for noncompliance to federal law. Anyone under the age of 18 or within the bounds of legal guardianship were automatically exempted from the law itself. Due to being above the age of 18 at 22-years-old, she had absolutely no choice but to register her soul-mark. Now, it is only a matter of a waiting game.
