He had no home, no family, no friends. He was a stray, and he hated it. He wandered the streets alone, looking for food and shelter. He had no one to care for him, or to love him. He was cold, hungry, and miserable. He wished he had a different life, a better life. He wished he had a place where he belonged.
He was confused, he did not know what he wanted. He wanted both comfort and freedom, but he could not have both. He had to choose, and he chose freedom. He ran away, and he never looked back. He thought he would be happy, but he was not. He was lonely, and he regretted his choice.
He looked at the rain that fell from the dark sky. He felt the water soak his fur, and he shivered. He looked for a place to hide, to rest, to sleep. He saw a window, with a light inside. He wondered who lived there, and what their life was like. He wondered if they had a cat, or if they wanted one. He wondered if they would take him in, or if they would chase him away.

What comes first for you, the story or the art? You really get into a cat's head! I love your work!
This is one Helluva cat! The narrative is compelling, and it evokes a visceral reaction from within. Clearly the Stray has transcended his savage beast. He has the capacity to spread wisdom judging by his ability to navigate the emotions rather than to be swallowed by them. I feel pity for the Stray while empathizing with the steely tenacity as it resonates from deep within his primal core. Some doors you have to go through alone. Following
Awww this is so cool! The cat looks great, very nice!
But as he got closer, he saw that the window was empty. The light was not a welcome, but a mockery. He felt a wave of sadness and despair, and he wanted to cry. But he did not have the voice or the tears. He just stood there, looking at the empty window, feeling the rain and the emptiness in his heart.

Until recently I had a cat like that. An old 14-years old ginger, who looked like only 3 or 4 seeing how he was energetic and playing. I made a enormous mistake by taking Anti-fleas at my supermarket and not in a specialized store. In the beginning I thought he was angry against me, then I saw he was seriously ill, I called vet in emergency, they said on tuesday ( It was saturday ), on monday I called them telling cancel, unless you know how to bring back a dead cat. I cried for two days and I hope I can adopt another senior cat when I can accept the idea. My cat had been abandoned by his preceding owner during at least five years ( my neighbourg told me ) and it took me two years to gain his trust and take him into my home. Sorry for the sad story but this one made me remember...
