Today, Afro-descendant and migrant communities in Lisbon still face racism, economic marginalisation, and unequal opportunities. Yet resilience shows in Cape Verdean and Angolan cultural centres, Afro-Portuguese music and art, and grassroots initiatives that transform the city into a more inclusive cultural crossroads.
