I am continuing my series on Heracles (known to the Romans as Hercules), the tragic Greek hero, with depicting him in the afterlife. After his tragic death, ingesting the deadliest of all poisons, the blood of the Hydra, he is consumed by a merciful lightning bolt from Zeus, and then brought by Athena in her chariot to Mount Olympus, to meet Zeus at last, his father, and he will be known as the greatest of Greek heroes in his afterlife.

That is what I felt too when I saw it. Btw, the Greek for "ascent" is "anabasis," and that is the same title of a classical work by the historian Xenophon, which is the main source for the story of the 300 from Sparta (actually more, but you get my point).
