A lovely creation. Interesting pictures on the dress and on the wall behind her. Are these patterns from a specific culture or are they a flight of fancy?

Thanks a lot. The patterns on the dress are inspired by Haitian art and Voodoo, while the paintings in the background draw from the work of Haitian artist Prospère Pierre Louis. The theme of the day in my creations is the integration of the shadow side and a reconciliation with the spirits of the ancestors. My Caribbean heritage guided the flow of these publications. Despite our different languages—French, English, Spanish, Dutch, Creole—I see the Caribbean as the most culturally homogeneous region in the world. The food, customs, and architecture, though varied, share deep similarities. But it's also a place of human paradoxes. The rivalries run deep—like those between Guadeloupe and Martinique, or Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. As with siblings, the closer you are culturally to someone, the greater the urge to clash.
