I read that a couple weeks ago, a mesopotamian stone table with carved cuneiform writtings from 2400 BC was finally translated, the text tells a new found myth, it consist of the rescue from Kur (the underworld) of the god Ishkur (god of thunder, lightning, wheater and rain) the downfall of this god to the underworld meaned that in the world stopped to rain, vegetation grown and animals started to starve and so humans, the other gods (particullary Enki) made a mission to rescue Ishkur and restore life on living earth, for this mission (opposite to commons myth in wich a mighty or brave hero do this work) a common animal, a fox, did this mission. There is a lot of parts of the text that are incomplete due of the damage of the ancient tablet, it is think that the fox achieved this mission, it is not known how it did it.
A striking picture of a fox holding a key in a cave, with an ancient Mesopotamian god trapped below. The god wears a Babylonian headdress and Persian beard, generating blue lightning with his staff, in a TCG/MTG style.
