A happy, smiling Edvard Munch paints his famous "The Scream" painting in his brightly lit studio on a sunny day in Norway.

Edvard had his good days as well as his muchly-known dark times. He painted many versions of The Scream over his lifetime and just by chance he's captured in this image on one of his "days of contrast". He appreciated the good days, even though they were rare and fleeting. He needed the good to contrast with the many, many dark days to remind him there was always an occasional glimmer of hope throughout his mainly unfortunate life...
