In the colonies, medicine became another theatre of control. African patients were not healed but studied — their pain transcribed as data. Experiments masked as care turned blood into knowledge, suffering into discovery. The Black body was treated as a frontier for progress: opened, measured, drained, yet never seen as equal flesh.
