Light by Florence Fuller

A depiction of 'Light' in the style of South African-born Australian artist Florence Fuller (1867-1946). She is best known for her paintings of landscapes, portraits, and still lifes. Her work is characterized by its use of light and shadow, attention to detail, and use of colour. Fuller was born in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, and studied art in Melbourne and London. She was a member of the New South Wales Society of Women Painters and Sculptors, and she was a regular exhibitor at the Royal Academy in London. Fuller's work was praised for its beauty and realism. She was a successful artist during her lifetime, and her work is still admired today.
