Elizabeth Catlett

Elizabeth Catlett (1915 – 2012) was a sculptor and printmaker from the USA, who later became a Mexican citizen. Her work is associated with the Social Realism and Modernism movements, often focusing on themes of ethnicity, gender, and social justice. Catlett worked with a variety of materials, including wood, stone, and bronze for her sculptures, and linocut for her prints.
