Even though I'm raised a Catholic, I no longer consider myself a Christian today. 

Nonetheless, the crucifixion of Jesus is one of the most important events in the history of Christianity, so much so that the cross (technically both a torture & execution method) became thé symbol to represent Christianity as a religion both within and towards the outside world. 

Hence, my choice to represent this event. And, due to the powerful symbolism the cross has for Christians and non-Christians alike, I wanted to do this honor by choosing this specific visual style, which IMO is really effective at adding a powerful emotional layer & a sense of epicness to whatever you want to represent...
