The math involved in crafting employee contracts and career rights is not simple. You have to forecast what the worker may make for the firm, the role's and firm's profitability prospects, the overall economy, changes in technology that may make her job more or less profitable, her level of past performance and motivation, when she'll retire, currency fluctuations and so on. Career rights trade on public exchanges and that's a whole separate industry. The pricing models are closer to those for options than stocks, as all career rights will eventually be worthless because we all still die. But unlike options they have an annual cash flow: the portion of the revenue the employee creates that has been agreed by contract to be paid to the rightsholder.
