In one episode of the Elementary TV series, Joan Watson discovered that her stepfather had written a mystery novel inspired by the superb detective work of that great crimefighting duo, Sherlock Holmes & Joan Watson, although with the names changed and other liberties taken. (For instance, within the book, their analogs were a romantic couple. In the "reality" of the TV series, they never were -- although Joan did date Sherlock's brother Mycroft for a time.)
The mystery novel was titled The Heart Bled Blue. I'm amusing myself by using the titles of imaginary books as prompts.
