Red Dress Mystery

@Monicaxireland Just below a second story window above the blonde's body was a small flash of red. There was no fire escape to walk up, so I had to improvise. Climbing on the trunk of the car and then to the car's roof, I could just barely reach the spot. Here was a small swatch of red fabric stuck to a nail. A piece of her dress! Climbing down, I compared it to the body. Good thing the coroner is a lazy sonofabitch and hadn't shown up yet. Sure enough, there was a tear near the hem of her dress. So, if the story is that she and her beau had an argument in the car and as she tried to leave, he shot her, why the hell is there a piece of her dress hanging halfway up the building? Did it tear off when her soul ascended to Heaven? Forgive me, I was never much good at poetry. I always thought it was too phony. As phony as this crime scene.
