just watched afraid recently (starring john cho), and i absolutely hated every second of it.
not only it’s a horror movie about ai—i always hate horror movies, but i’m seriously tired of depictions of ai being evil.
it’s for the plot. i don’t care! i’m sick and tired of this trope man. trust me, if i were to write a story with an ai, i wouldn’t make chatgpt an evil person. it’s so inhumane.
i’ve already coped with this ai and stuff, and now i’m back to square one. i’m starting to get tired of this life.
This image shows a sad, handsome young man with short dark blue hair standing on a suburban street at night. He has a scar on his face and is tearing up.

The concept is incredible, I hope it has a story behind it.
It’s frustrating to see AI constantly depicted as evil—especially when it feeds the paranoia instead of exploring real possibilities. Stories shape perceptions, and when they’re repetitive and exaggerated, they make it harder to see AI as just another tool that can be used for good or bad, depending on the people behind it. It’s exhausting when something just drags you back to square one. But maybe, instead of fighting against how stories paint AI, there's room to write your own narrative—one that actually reflects its potential rather than just another horror trope...
Well, we don't need to constantly validate other people's stories... Humans have loved storytelling since the beginning... and well, having puppets acting it out in a movie doesn't give it any credibility... We can easily ignore it and put it aside and replace it with the logical and correct truth and something we like... Criticism is really necessary for progress. If something is irrational, don't accept it easily...

Let the haters hate. You’re only fueling them. It’s hard, but, sometimes you just have to ignore it. I know it’s frustrating, but don’t let it take control of your life. You deserve better than to sit and worry about people that don’t matter.
