Beauty and the Beast

Beneath the clash of thunder's cry, beneath the weeping skies, she stood alone with wary grace, the starlight in her eyes. The beast approached through wind and rain, his form a shadowed shroud, but in his claws—a bloom of spring, soft petals shy and proud. He knelt before her trembling frame, with silence full of ache, his voice a whisper lost in storms: “For you, for love’s own sake.” She touched the flower, fingers warm, and saw beyond his face—a soul that dared to hope again, beneath the beast, a grace. 4th place in the 'kind beasts' DC (4.23).
