There's a clifftop village called "fireside" with a huge festival on a precarious slope in the UK in your novel? 😅 I can't see anyone getting a licence for this now, was this set in the 80s? After Monsters of Rock at Donington in 1988, regulations have changed a lot to ensure safety in bad weather. It was a major news story in the mainstream and music and metal press at the time as Gn'R were only just hitting the big time which is why they were so low on the bill.
