In the heart of an ancient forest, Yldrys, the Eternal Flame, once soared with glorious grace. Born from fire, she was revered as a guardian of the woods, a creation of both beauty and power.

But all glorious tales come to an end.

She met her demise not from a knight's lance or a sorcerer's spell, but an illness that was stealing her strength and fire. And in her weakened state, she'd misjudged a landing and crashed into the tallest tree in the forest. The impact shattered her wings leaving her to perish on the forest floor not to be found for a long time.

But she lived on in the memory of all who'd seen her which, in a way, brought her back to life every time.
