The title is from The Journalist, a poem by Grahame Davies originally written in Welsh to mark the 50th anniversary of the Aberfan disaster. In October 1966, a coal-mining spoil-tip above the Aberfan village turned into a mudslide that engulfed the Pantglas junior school and a row of houses, killing 116 children and 28 adults.
