Ah, so is this also something you «say» in Poland 🙂 I don’t think this is «correct», it has always been said that nordic/Norwegian people have this mentality. But, it is only because we keep more to ourselves. It do not mean we don’t support others and wish them all good in life. Neither does it mean we are a pompous ppl. And tbh… who are these «we» and «us» they are referring to all the time?? This is something made up by «someone» being bitter at «someone/something». Made up by humans about other humans, always humans behind trying to be an «expert» on other humans. Pityful. And nordic ppl being more withdrawn, is due to harsh climate etc. We like our privacy and our homes which we care much about. Ofc others do that as well, but us not hugging everyone, bragging about ourselves, inviting everyone into our homes… well, that is our culture like any other nationality having theirs. Just my meaning. This «Janteloven» has been and is still being used as a suppression of the way we are.
