The kingfisher, perched regally on a pond, flicked its iridescent feathers, seemingly unimpressed. A nearby family, armed with selfie sticks, inched closer, oblivious to Clara's commentary.

"Seriously," Clara muttered, "one wrong move and you're internet famous. No pressure, right?"

The kingfisher cocked its head, its beady eyes fixed on the water's surface. With a lightning-fast dip, it drank the dew from a nearby flower.

Clara grinned. "Okay, okay, I get it. Zen and the art of drinking fresh dew. Maybe I'll try that meditation thing again."

Today was a good challenge, with the usual very high quality in the entries. The only downside was the fact that, for the first time in a long while, there were very few of us--only 99 submissions.

Is our "golden age" coming to an end? Or was it just a lazy spring Sunday? We will find out only by living, to paraphrase a famous Italian song.

We meet again today for another super-mega-challenge in which we will utter many ooohs and many aaahs.
