Little People's Houses in the Forest - 27

Next to it was another fairly simple house, but perhaps among the most fascinating I have seen: the tree had fallen, perhaps felled by lightning, but what remained was extraordinary: mushroom-shaped canopies (or were they petrified mushrooms?) clustered toward the pointed top in earthy, autumn colors; the only entrance curved elegantly toward the cobblestone steps, and a pair of tiny porthole windows blended into the warm colors of the bark.

It was wonderful: I must have taken perhaps a hundred photographs of it.
