Crystal Clear XL
Created for a challenge requiring a daguerreotype creation. Since it was difficult to get living human beings to hold perfectly still for several minutes to give you a good exposure of them, I decided to go in a different direction and create a daguerreotype of one of the "Lost Cities" which were such popular plot devices in the fiction of the 19th and early 20th Centuries. The sort of thing, tucked away in a remote valley unknown to the outside world, which Tarzan (for instance) frequently stumbled into in his adventures (although those were generally set in the early decades of the 20th Century).

Thank you so much for participating in the Daguerreotype Photography challenge. It was a real joy seeing so many beautiful photographs harkening back to the earliest days of photography.

If my arthritis would allow me to comment on every submission individually, I would… but I liked and liked them all. I urge you take a look as well. Consider doing the same.
