Of your phoenix series, of which I like, this in particular catches my eye. Vibrant indeed, but the subject is part silhouette, the flames are backgrounded and feathers given purple and lilac hues (the eye being less responsive to higher wavelength colours) and the more biological morphology rendered in neon. I like these contradictions and cognitive dissonances ♥️👌

I think this is my favorite one as well. For the same reasons you list. I love things that aren't expected like this, or a plague doctor in pastels, or a cute teddy bear in an evil forest... But thanks for your comment. I always love teasing them!
