1. Very interesting read. For I never read Tintin precisely for this reason. Somehow even as a kid I read or heard somewhere that it was supposed to be colonial. Professionally as an adult I watched the back then new movie. And though I remember nothing, the only thing I do remember was that this issue seemed to be cofirmed. And sadly this is true for basically every TV-series, comic series and so on that has Africa as it's focus. As a small kid I used to love the Johnny Weissmüller Tarzan movies on TV. We watched them as a family. Also I rewatched them around 15 years ago and ich bin vom Glauben abefallen. That is the most racist stuff, and really, really poorly filmed and recycle edited franchise I have ever seen. So that got destroyed in my mind. Same for Orzowei, you don't probably know this anymor. Babar the Elephant I watched only the movie as an adult, same thing. The German remake (only) of Konferenz der Tiere could have been made for the Parteitag der AfD.

I really like this image with the shades of blue. Books are our friends, but audio books can make the stories feel more alive sometimes.
