A griffin hatchling. Only a few days old. As infants they imprint on the first living thing they see, and once they imprint, they will not be separated from their "parent" if at all mortally possible. Recently a farmer found what he thought was the egg of one of his Dingi Hens (large livestock birds similar to ostritches but fatter and brightly colored wjth longer, more ornate feathers). But the egg was odd colored and the farmer, believing it to be a bad omen, threw it away. His daughter, who was more tender hearted, rescued it from the compost heap and hid it underneath her pillow. During the day she'd make sure her bed was positioned so the sunlight from her window shone on the pillow and at night she'd hold it close. One morning she felt sometbing and opened her eyes to see the egg had hatched and staring back into her sleepy eyes with love and devotion was a very happy griffin hatchling.
This image shows a cuddly griffin hatchling in a cozy box of straw, lit by warm ambient light, showcasing its adorable lion cub body and eagle features.
