Métro, boulot, dodo

In autumn, I decided we would move our shop into the city centre, right at the heart of the action, where cars are banned, where people flock into the shopping streets by the thousands each day, and where rent is ridiculously overpriced.

People were afraid I had gone mad. (Madder than usual, that is.) That we'd never be able to make this happen. I asked them to believe in my vision, to have a little faith in me and my humble skills.

And I was right. Everything turned out even better than I anticipated, and I've put my everything into it - until it began to devour my very soul and essence.

I needed that break badly. Last week, I returned refreshed and full of energy to continue our mission.

One week of people being people.

I could use another six weeks of vacation. Preferably on a tropical island. Alone by myself. 😅
