The Kal'thari Avatar is the ultimate Kal'thari war machine. Hauling a tremendous array of armaments and a cable launcher that lets it scale steep slopes, the Avatar is nearly unstoppable. The 5 purple orbs on its chest are quantum cascade lasers far stronger than lasers made with human technology, especially when their beams are focused on the same point. The lasers are ostensibly meant to defeat personnel and missiles, but are quite capable of damaging armored vehicles. It also has a plasma mortar as a heavy weapon.
The Avatar has the odd distinction of having 7 legs, an unusual number for a mech. This has been attributed to the Kal'thari's belief in numerology as a method of interpreting the will of the Source. The number 7 holds great significance for the Kal'thari; this has also held true among many alien species that have been discovered by humans.
