My latest attempt at what I call "Teddy Bear Film Noir." The narrator, not seen here, is a hard-boiled private eye in a city inhabited by living teddy bears. I decided it was time to introduce one of his friends and informants -- Mr. Garcia, who is blind. (Wikipedia tells me that one of the theories about the origins of the Spanish name "Garcia" is that it comes from a root meaning "Bear.")
My prompt called for a thin, elderly teddy bear, with black lenses and a white cane.
This image depicts a blind teddy bear informant, dressed in a trenchcoat and fedora, navigating a 1940s city sidewalk with his white cane. Rendered in black-and-white photorealism, this scene is a nostalgic tribute to the film noir genre.
