The solar panels were supposed to save us. The green energy conglomerates promised if we moved away from fossil fuels we'd stave off the end of the world. But then the superstorms came. Between the constant near darkness and the hail, the solar panels became expensive and toxic yard decor. Then the EMP terror attacks sent civilized society back to the stone age.
