It was first announced that Robert Downey Jr  would return to the 🍿MCU this time playing the legendary supervillain 🦸Doctor Doom at 🏜️San Diego Comic-Con in July 2024.

The character of 🔲Doctor Doom had previously been played by actor Julian McMahon in the 20th Century Fox Fantastic Four movies, which 🔴began in 2005.

Avengers Doomsday movie is set to be released in 🔴May 2026.

5️⃣ It will be the fifth installment in the Marvel Avengers film series.
It is thus a sequel on from Avengers Endgame which was released in 🦋April 2019.

Avengers doomsday is set to be directed by 🎬Joe and Anthony Russo.
Apparently, the first film that the Russo brothers directed from Marvel was 🦹Captain America: the Winter Soldier, which was 🔴released in 2014.

That movie will be followed by 🩶 Avengers secret wars which are set to be released in May 2027.
