Kelchid 3

The kelchid have had a greater impact on Imperial culture than any world save Gwyndo itself. While they where militarily inferior, their culture was ancient and had highly advanced math, liturature, architecture, economics, trade, mettalurgy, civics, and infrastructure, many of these superior to the Empire itself at that time. The number of things contributed by the kelchid to the Empire are too many to mention, but the most important were the introduction of a phonetic alphabet, the mathematical concept of zero, a base ten number system as well as a metric system of measurements. The kelchid language merged with Old Imperial into a pidgin, then a creole, and the combination was finally adopted as the official language of the Empire: New Imperial.
