The Red Harriers Order #7: Archery theory and training

The archery division of the Red Harriers Order conducts its training in designated clearings within the ancient Luthavërn Forest, where sunlight filters through Sylvaëros Oak canopies and silence serves as both discipline and test. Aspiring archers begin their path at a young age, and training blends woodland movement with archery fundamentals, emphasizing precision over power. Each trainee must craft her personal longbow from Sylvaëros Oak—a sacred wood native to Luthavërn and known for its elasticity and resonance. Each archer trains within a core unit, fostering lifelong bonds. Though disciplined and lethal in combat, Archery and Shield Wall divisions are known for their humor, camaraderie, and animated campfire storytelling—a cultural contrast to the solemn Black Falcons. By age 17, Red Harrier archers qualify for battlefield support roles. Their ability to shoot while airborne or at full sprint makes them ideal for skirmishes, defense of cavalry flanks, and protective formations.
