Known among the Dog Soldiers as Koma’evo, or “He Who Listens to Ravens,” this warrior was said to have been born during a thunderstorm, when a raven circled above the lodge and would not leave. The elders took it as a sign—his path would be guided by spirits from the sky.
His paint was precise: one wide streak over the bridge of his nose and two streaks of dusk blue crossed down his face and chin, like the shadows of wings. The raven’s eye stared out from the medallion at his heart, a constant reminder to trust visions, not just weapons.
Where others charged, he waited. Where others doubted, he knew. Before a raid, his silence was heavy with meaning. When he spoke, the camp fell still.
The wind often shifted when he approached. Birds changed direction. And warriors near him said they could feel a presence just beyond the veil.
Not all Dog Soldiers fought with fury. Some, like Koma’evo, fought with fate at their side.

After seeing your creation of the Comanche war party today, I thought of the Cheyenne Dog Soldiers. I figured you must have addressed them at some point. I was not disappointed. Great work as always, Red-Warrior.
