Ophelia is a beauty hidden from the world by her evil aunt who raised her when she was orphaned. As her beauty grew so did her aunts jealousy and hatred. This did not phase Ophelia who became determined that her aunts hatred would not consume her. As her despicable cousins and aunt slept Ophelia would climb down the giant oak tree whose branches reached out to her as if the giant oak knew of Ophelia's suffering and welcomed her. Ophelia grew up climbing down the great oak tree and back up every night when the weather was calm. She would live a fantasy life in the woods nearby. She felt free in the shade of the forest that concealed her. Ophelia found a hollow tree and would hide trinkets that she would find there. Until one full moon night when she heard a horse and rider and saw a handsome face that winced in pain and fell from his steed. Ophelia afraid to show herself hesitated to approach the rider but his agonising moans reached her heart and she could no longer ignore him.
