Beating the heat!

The heatwave had been relentless for weeks. Every time you stepped outside it was like walking into an oven. But she needed to get out, she needed some fresh air. So she set out for an afternoon of fun in spite of the heat. It wasn't long before she started to second guess her decision, but just as she was about to head back home she stumbled on a little surprise. A newly opened pool that it appeared no one had discovered yet. She went to the edge and felt the water. This would feel so good! She thought for a minute then sat down on the edge and stuck her feet in. She watched the hems of her jeans get wet and thought about going in a little bit more. As hot as it was it wouldn't take long for her clothes to dry she thought. She slid off the edge and sat in the water on the first step. Not all of her jeans were wet yet but it wouldn't be long before that changed. A spontaneous swim was exactly what she needed to survive!
