Ode to the Cello

I always hear it singing in my dreams: the long and languid line of cello's world. I listen, watching closely as moonbeams shed light on notes, cascading silver swirls

toward heaven, as if angelic host hears cello's tales and yearns to be among those who can hear and sing and laugh and toast its mournful yet exhilarating song.

Its proud tailpiece set firmly in the earth, its tuneful flow, wide capability make it an instrument with little dearth of magic - a most rare ability.

There's no emotion cello can't express. No human soul cello can't impress.
