I love a good powerful uniform with lots of gold buttons. Even a brief friendly chat with someone dressed this way helps wipe away repression I felt from people in ordinary clothes with "opinions" about folks queer in any way.
War bad, war very bad, even the good guys are bad, but military uniforms very very spiffy. Life has contradictions!
